Primary Unity Developer
Nextbots in Playground: Pixel
Live mobile sandbox/FPS game with voxel destruction physics and 13M+ installs.
Project Overview
Nextbots in Playground: Pixel is a mobile sandbox/FPS game built around voxel-style environments, physics interactions, weapons, enemies, and real-time destruction. I was responsible for most of the Unity-side implementation for a long period of development, building the gameplay foundation, destruction systems, combat logic, enemy behavior, effects, SDK integrations, and mobile release pipeline.
My Role
- Primary Unity developer for the project for a long period of development
- Built most Unity-side gameplay systems from scratch, excluding voxel models created by designers in MagicaVoxel
- Implemented, tested, and prepared Android/iOS release builds
- Integrated SDKs, analytics events, ads, monetization callbacks, and release tooling
What I Built
- Built the core gameplay loop, mobile FPS controls, weapon systems, shooting logic, enemies, destructible enemy behavior, and sandbox interactions
- Reworked and optimized a voxel destruction package for mobile devices, including mesh rebuilding, caching behavior, destruction effects, and physics tuning
- Optimized physics-heavy gameplay for mobile performance and memory constraints, including iOS RAM limitations
- Integrated ads, analytics, attribution, and monetization SDKs including AppLovin MAX, AppsFlyer, AppMetrica, Facebook SDK, Firebase, ironSource, AdMob, Unity Ads, Yandex Ads, and ROI360 where applicable
- Configured structured analytics events, ad callbacks, builds, testing, and release preparation
